The Friendship

  1. Once, some years ago, a number of inspired citizens
banded together as they discovered and declared:
    Howard Dean is First!

  2. Hey all~!

On Thursday after work I am headed straight to NH for an overnight
so that I may convene my peer group of spiritual guides on Friday morning
and hopefully meet with my spiritual director in the afternoon.
I will return home Friday evening. So, meanwhile, take care
and be sure to count your veggie burgers. ♥

  8. Hurricane Igor is intensifying again, and is currently a strong Cat 4 hurricane. When it plows across Bermuda, it will be at least a strong Cat 3. Please hold poor little Bermuda in the Light this weekend!

In the Central Atlantic, Hurricane Igor is intensifying again, and is poised to bring Bermuda a very long pounding beginning Saturday night. Bermuda can expect a 36-hour period of tropical storm force winds, and up to 8 hours of hurricane force winds if Igor tracks over the island.

  11. Son*in*ME is down in the Gulf, and was briefly on IM. So I asked how it's going and he replied:

    "crazy but managable - barely."

  12. That was a lovely story on the last thread, Puddle. Thanks for telling us. I always find it heartwarming to learn that someone we admire is/was a nice person.

  13. Sis talked me and Patty and another friend of hers, who lives in Vermont, into going to see Chris Isaaks with her in December. This is the first time I've seen her excited about something in ages, so I really couldn't say no. I'd have preferred Harry, but Harry isn't playing the Calvin in December. And, I'm sure I'll have no problem sitting through an evening of Chris, especially since it will make Sis so happy.

  14. Harry being Harry Conic Jr., whom Sis has been a fan of since almost the beginning of his career. We went to a concert of his about twenty years ago, and I really enjoyed it.
