    1. Haven’t yet watched the video because the house is still sleeping.

But, yeah…I read they’re saying they may not give them MORE money. But last year they gave them plenty, so this vote won’t stop ICE.
What needs to happen is for ICE to be abolished. At very least they should be required to abide by the Constitution!

    1. Interesting that Putin and Netanyahu could not attend because they would be arrested. Murderous cowards. Susan

    2. Especially after all his insults, it's unfortunate that no one thought to arrest DT and take him to the Hague while they had the chance!

    3. Ah, wouldn't that've been nice. *sigh*

  4. Trump, Stephen Miller and Pete Hegseth ALL need to be removed. They are the authors of our misery. Susan

    1. Oh, man, you should hear Rick Wilson on that subject. He's not the only one, but I've begun hearing rumblings about a Nuremburg style trial when we get our country back. Rick is quite emphatic that these trials must be all encompassing, from Trump on down to the lowliest ICE thug. Lord, but we're going to have a lot of cleanup to do! Please make it sooner rather than later. The longer this Hell continues, the harder the cleanup will be.

  5. Right in the middle of the storm. We have a wood-burning fireplace that I have never once used. Had it cleaned years ago and just let it sit there looking at me. My son and I went out Friday and bought phone battery thingees for our cell and two bundles of firewood. If the power goes out at least we won't freeze to death. Susan

    1. How much is two bundles of wood? Like for a campfire or more? The usual bundle up here would last about 3 hours.
(Note: Remember to open the flue before burning, and close it when not.)

    2. Are you getting snow, Susan? Renee? W.A.? If so, how much is expected?
We're expecting 8-12", but I think Catreona is expecting more!

    3. It's me again. It would seem we're due to get about nineteen inches in total. At suppertime, round about 5:00, Dad reckoned we already had thirteen to fourteen inches.

  6. We've got about a foot so far and it's still coming down hard. A bundle of firewood here is $7. I did use the fireplace when we lived in Jericho, NY, just haven't used this one 'cause we haven't needed it before. Now we might. Still hoping the power does NOT go out. I hate that.

  7. Oh, that was me. Forgot to put my name on it.

    1. Thanks, Susan. It was clear by context. How cool that you lived in Jericho NY and I live in Jericho VT! 😊
Since the snow is the light and fluffy sort, there's much less chance of power outages. 🤞

  8. Vermont's Republican Governor, Phil Scott (who did not vote for DT)'s statement:

“Enough…it’s not acceptable for American citizens to be killed by federal agents for exercising their God-given and constitutional rights to protest their government.

At best, these federal immigration operations are a complete failure of coordination of acceptable public safety and law enforcement practices, training, and leadership.

At worst, it’s a deliberate federal intimidation and incitement of American citizens that’s resulting in the murder of Americans. Again, enough is enough.

The President should pause these operations, de-escalate the situation, and reset the federal government’s focus on truly criminal illegal immigrants. In the absence of Presidential action, Congress and the Courts must step up to restore constitutionality.”

  9. Apparently this is our first Level 3 Snow Emergency since the levels were created in the 1970s.
