  1. Gosh...got a new 2026 calendar in the mail today from Daughter. It was created by the Seacoast Track Club of which son Shiloh was a member. The whole calendar is a tribute to Shiloh, with photos of and by him, worthy quotes, and the only two dates marked on the calendar are Shiloh's birthday and June 4th, on which he died last year. They are marked by the Club's logo...which is a whimbrel flying...inspired by Shiloh's work with Whimbrels, because they fly so fast and with such amazing duration...just like the marathon runners in the Club. The theme of the calendar is "Fly With Shiloh." Hats off to this group...they did him proud!!

    1. We are ready! I'll just be home recovering anyway, and it will be incredibly cold here. No desire to go out at all!

  5. Warning: the below linked video is heavy on obscenity. Candidly though, considering the subject matter, that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Just thought it was worth giving a heads up.

    Cat,

CREW just won a major legal victory:

A federal judge has once again shut down efforts by the Trump administration to keep its spending plans secret.

We filed a lawsuit last spring to force Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought and OMB to be more transparent and bring back a website that showed how the government is spending taxpayer money. A couple of months ago, OMB posted thousands of apportionments it had approved since its abrupt removal of the legally required database—because of a previous court order in our case.

But in many cases, it still secretly controlled agency spending through legally binding “spend plans” buried in footnotes and hidden from the public.

So we filed a “motion to enforce,” asking the district court to require that OMB make public the contents of those spend plans that included hidden conditions on spending and rules for apportioned funds. A federal judge just granted that request.

    1. I don't trust this. The White House will say anything to get what they want. Then they'll do whatever they like anyway.
One thing interesting is that DT will do ANYTHING to stay out of jail. So I fully expect him to try to stay in office.
