A second child has died of Measles complications in Texas. An 8 year old girl with no pre-existing conditions. RFK, Jr. met with her parents, but wouldn’t meet with the press while there. He is supposed to meet with the Senate HHS Committee on Tuesday. I need to write a thank you note to Bernie, because the question I asked him in thr online town meeting with our delegation last month was if he would ask the HHS committee to meet again with RFK, Jr.!
Hey! Last evening, Wil and I got to witness something pretty cool. VT*Grand's high school a cappella group, Sweet Transition performed at Mead Chapel, at Middlebury College.
Sweet T was specially invited to join with Middlebury College's three college a cappella groups for a day of training with Deke Sharon ~ "the originator of modern a cappella and arranging god" and the person who inspired the Perfect Pitch movies ~ as well as taking part in the evening performance.
In addition to each group performing three songs, they also performed the "rip off" from the movie Pitch Perfect...the first time it had ever been performed live!
This happened because Deke Sharon is an alum of Middlebury College and decided to do something nice for their music program. And he wanted to include one high school group. VT*Grand's high school a cappella group was chosen! Wow!!
