  1. Back to “boat camp” each day this week. Washing the boat and got the curtains up, epoxying more little issues, added one more coat of teak oil. Putting on the gold stripe Friday, ahead of waxing!
This weekend Wil goes up the mast to put in an new (LED) spreader light, we get the motor on, sails in place and add the new solar panel.
Ordered a custom cutting board for the galley and need to do some final sorting and cleaning. Whew!

    2. It is the first couple years, as we are doing some catch up work the former owners were no longer able to do, due to illness. We will have far less to do next year.

  2. Ten day weather forecast is for more of the same; clear skies, temperatures in the 80's F, slight breeze, no rain. My right knee seems pretty good this morning--I must have accidentally twisted it while pulling weeds the other day, and it had been hurting when I put weight on it-- I used a cane for a couple of days. Grocery shopping, probably some weeding today.

    1. I had an inverted flag in my window; didn't know that the symbol referred to the right's stolen election thing. I'll have to be more careful in the future.

    2. Thank you, Alan. I did miss that third document. Man oh man! I'm rubbing my hands in glee. Not counting chickens, being leery of overconfidence, but I must say I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.

  8. Just got off the phone with Patty. I hadn't talked to her for some time, so we had a nice, long chat.

Here's the thing: Naturally she can't stand Trump; but, she said, "Oh, things are terrible. I don't know who I'm going to vote for. Biden's too old of course."

Well, that got my blood boiling. I managed not to shout at her, but I was forceful. Don't know if I made a dent in her hard head, but she seemed impressed with the vehemence of my presentation. So, maybe that will at least get her thinking and looking for news of the president's accomplishments. I really find it hard to believe that someone so smart could buy into that garbage! But she isn't following the trial. In fact she asked, "What trial?" when I asked if she has been following it. And, you know, she seemed kind of impressed that I follow politics and current events.

*shrug* There's so much that I don't know. But I am curious and interested in the world around me. At least I'm never bored.

    1. !!!

Would be nice to be able to be politically bored for a year or three, wouldn't it? You know, to have nothing worrisome on the horizon and nothing to worry over in the world.

    2. ...maybe just read some books and sit on the porch with no need to double check the day's news...
