we are so small

See that bit of plasma leaping out from the eclipsed Sun?

                                                                                                ~ listener

                                                                                               ~ NASA

Now see that plasma and the size of our Earth next to it?

(Not quite the Solar System they showed us in school, eh?)

And now to adjourn to lunch. I think there is one tamal left in the freezer. BTW, the rain has stopped and the sun has come out; I anticipate that we may be able to see new snow on the foothills.

    1. The LNG2 Project is located on the Arctic Sea coast, east of Novaya Zenlya, smack in the middle of Siberia. [Click] Small wonder they would need icebreaker LNG tankers to serve it.

And I can't see the Sierra Nevada foothills.

  5. We spent the day prepping for having two young grands (ages 8 and 4) here for three nights, starting tomorrow. Then this evening we went to a FABULOUS performance of the musical The Wizard of Oz! (My Christmas gift to Wil and Root*Center*Son.) We were amazed at the professional quality. A masterful performance!! And Dorothy was a local high school sophomore with an outstanding singing voice. Fabulous choreography and amazing special effects! I wish I could have taken everyone to it!
