(And now it's September!) 11 year old Juggling 6 balls

  1. No hundred degree days in the ten-day forecast, which is nice. Time to start studying for my driver's license renewal; I wonder what things will be new, and which old questions will disappear. It has been a long, long time since I encountered the question of who backs up when you meet an oncoming vehicle on a one-lane mountain road. Ditto streetcars and hand signals. I expect there will be more questions related to bicycles.

At what age need one have the exam? I don’t think we have that in Vermont.

    2. We had a cooler than normal August here, and now we'll have a much hotter than normal first week of September. The poor planet is all messed up.

    3. I haven't reached that point in the handbook yet; I don't anticipate any driving test, just the written exam-- which comes every five years (I think--will be checking that). The anticipated big increase in accidents as the elderly population of California increased never materialized, and the Department of Motor Vehicles works to keep older drivers driving safely.

    4. Temps here in the high 90s Sunday through Wednesday. Looks ike low humidity, though.
Back when I was driving I believe I had to renew every five years. Non-driver IDs for people over 65 never expire. Which sometimes confuses people checking IDs. I tend to use my Global Entry card as my ID.

    5. Driver's licenses need to be renewed every five years here in Massachusetts. Don't think my non driver's ID expires, but I could be wrong about that.

The weather was glorious here today; clear and sunny and just cool enough to feel like September. It was downright chilly last night and this morning.

Innovative and might make sense on a back road, but not on a highway! That poor animal.

  5. Federal Judge Makes Power Move in Trump DC Criminal Case [Click] “Judge Chutkan just big footed all the other federal and state judges w Trump as a criminal defendant, to take control and become the center of Trump’s criminal trial universe.” So the DC case starts March 4th next year, and quite likely the Georgia RICO case will go on Oct. 23rd of this year for all defendants. Other Trump cases get in line behind those two.

I bet this was posted already by Alan and l I missed it. But it bears a reprise anyway…

Proud Boys Ethan Nordean and Dominic Pezzola jailed for US Capitol riot

Nordwan got 18 years. Pezzola got 10 years. Pezzola was all emotional and apologetic but after the sentencing and the judge left the chamber, he raised his fist and shouted, “Trump won!”

    1. No, I didn't post it-- didn't feel any temptation to give such nutjobs a bigger platform--or any space in my brain.
