  2. Yesterday the temperature dropped and a wind came through, like a cold front. Cool and cloudy this morning, predicted high 84F, tomorrow 77, Monday 85, then up into the low 90's. Nice.

  3. Yes, autonomous mobility is the essence of liberty. It was not the labor exacted from slaves; it was the chains which kept them from going where they wanted. And today, juveniles absenting themselves from school to be picked up truant officers are in the self-same situation.
    There are good reasons why history is not to be taught. What does it mean for U.S. children to be emancipated at age 18? Never mind civil rights. Why do the children have no human rights? Why does the state legislate a right to control the disposition of a fetus?
