  1. Our raisins finished drying yesterday. Now we are removing the stems (including the tiny capstems) and sorting them by size (S, M, L). After that they get washed and dried a bit in the oven, then packed to equalize the moisture.

We have enough for ourselves and for gifts to two or three relatives in Japan.

    3. Jim Jeffords saw it first.

I hope that by them showing their true stripes, most Independents and other people of conscience and compassion will rise up and vote accordingly.

There are more Dems than Repubs in the nation. There are more Indys than either of them.

    4. They aren't just a cult. They're a MURDEROUS cult. Rashida Tlaib is running in Michigan to be reelected. Her Republican opponent decided now would be a good time to raffle off an AR-15. Republicans don't just want you to agree with them - they want you to agree with them OR DIE.

    10. How interesting, Bill. For me, it's boxes in both Safari and Chrome. And, oddly, Chrome is secure on my iPhone but I get a "not secure" message on my computer. Does anyone know why that would be?

    1. LOL! I was just coming by to give you those same VT numbers!

Vermont is like an oasis right now.
I wish I could move you all here.

The poll numbers for President are similar to 4 years ago. DT is just a tad higher than last time, actually.

Gov Scott has a 68% job approval rating. He will surely get re-elected. He has said he is not voting for DT, though stops short of saying he will vote for Biden. As for me, I am voting for Progressive farmer David Zuckerman..

    2. ...To be clear, I am voting for David Zuckerman for Governor of VT, not for President. LOL.

  9. https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2020/09/ruth-bader-ginsburg-death-mitch-mcconnell.html

"Just by way of example: A former White House official told the New Yorker’s Jane Mayer for a piece in April that McConnell reassured donors that he would install a Supreme Court justice for Trump regardless of how close to the election Ginsburg’s death might be. He apparently referred to the prospect of replacing Ginsburg in the event of her death as “our October surprise.” In 2019, McConnell gleefully tweeted a photo of some tombstones, one of which had Merrick Garland’s name on it—hours after a mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, in which 23 people died. He has said that stopping Garland’s nomination is the proudest moment of his career. It’s uniquely painful that this is the person architecting Ginsburg’s replacement in violation of his own contemptible theories."

    1. Seem to me, consistency requires integrity. McConnell wouldn't recognize integrity if it shat on his head.

"LOS ANGELES, CA—NBA players are honoring the life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg this week by wearing pretty lace collars just like Notorious RBG used to wear. In a touching show of respect for the late Justice Ginsburg, and in solidarity with her progressive cause, Lebron James and the LA Lakers took to the court yesterday wearing a stunning variety of delicate white collars inspired by RBG's wardrobe."
