    1. She ought to have written it on paper with visible ink conveying a different message! An advertisement, say. Maybe next time?

    1. George Will talks about the power of the purse. Is there a way for Congress to specifically restrict expenditures by the Office of the President? Including, of course, the security costs associated with his golf trips.

  5. Yesterday I was copying our a Longfellow poem as part of my daily penmanship practice, which led me to read the Wikipedia article about him, which inspired me to pull down my Viking Portable Walt Whitman, purchased not quite sixty years ago. It is still as marvelous as any of the many other times I have read from it over the years. That inspired me to look at the other Viking Portable tomes advertised inside the covers, and I think I will purchase the Dorothy Parker and the Medieval reader. Renaissance reader? Maybe. Will have to investigate both of the latter two, but Dorothy Parker I will buy for sure. Maybe I will see if there are more in the series.
