    1. Maybe Boris needs a nice, quiet, extended vacation away from all the distressing hullabaloo of No. 10. I understand there is an opening for a Napoleon impersonator on St. Helena, and one of the requirements is that said person must reside locally. Sounds like it would be right down Boris's alley.

  5. Headline story in today's Tribune: Tax Review Board is asking State's Attorney to investigate whether Cubs' co-owner deliberately misled Assessor when he "forgot" to mention that he had replaced his old home with a newer, larger one. You have to read down in the article before you discover he is also finance chairman for the Republican National Committee and the Trump Victory Campaign.

  7. Quip of the Day:

Referring to Boris Johnson’s recent bad experiences—quickly losing his majority and thus control of Parliament, failing miserably in his effort to call a snap election, etc.

“It was so bad that Johnson’s own brother, Jo Johnson, quit Parliament in protest of his brother’s policies. He might be the first politician to resign in order to spend less time with his family.”
