  1. The New York Daily News [Click] sure sounds like the Donald Trump of today. Is this a clue that he in his second childhood? It is perfectly consistent with the latest Trumpist horror: Trump administration may displace 55,000 children with public housing evictions [Click]

Were Shakespeare’s works written by a woman? [Click] To be specific, were they written by Emilia Bassano? This strikes me as the best alternate author theory I have heard, by far. It also has a good exposition of the difficulties of attributing them to the fellow from Stratford on Avon.

  6. My sister-in-law had surgery Wednesday night after her colon ruptured. Now today my brother was admitted to the same hospital with a BP of 220/180. Heart rate of 130 bmp. Plus he's become completely deaf over the last several months and hearing aides no longer work. Between this crap and Trump I feel like I'm walking through the fire. I'll be tempered steel when I get through it.

  7. Good Lord, Susan. There is medicine that works for the BP/pulse problem, but it is still scary. And the risk of peritonitis is doubly so. I very sincerely hope for the best.
