  1. Catreona! I hope you don't have any Vermont Country Store orders pending at the moment.

    1. Wait, it's not as bad as I first feared. It was their new OVERFLOW warehouse that burned, and it wasn't yet fully stocked. They have lost about 5% of their inventory and the fire did not affect their distribution center or either of their main stores.

    2. Still, fires are always very frightening.

As it happens, I don't currently have any outstanding orders there. Still, this news is troubling.

    2. 82/50 here. I read the other day that "The Blob" of unusually warm water has returned to the Gulf of Alaska, which causes cold air to descend on eastern Canada and the northeastern US. No way to know how long it will last, evidently.

    3. If it's true that the Saudi Hit Squad called the US on the day of the murder,we really do need to know to whom the call was made! Worth a letter to our Congresspeople!

    2. As for me and my snow...YIPPEE!!! I *LOVE* snow!!! And on Monday my Mini Cooper got its snow sneakers on and a spiffy oil change into the bargain. The service guys told me I am "good to go" for Winter, and I'm all for it! We are actually only promised about week or so of cold. We are also told to expect a warmer than usual November. So I suppose one could say there will be time enough for Indian Summer. I'll probably plant Spring bulbs in a week or two. But I really want snow.
