  3. Hang in there, everybody!

James Fecteau of Vermont wrote this in the Comments on a WCAX story about Bernie:

"I want to ask everyone to stop speculating on where we go from here. This Election is NOT over. We all must let things play out. Bernie is a smart man, and Jeff Weaver is also very smart. Let the Democratic Party think that we are all still democrats. Let them think whatever they want.
They will be two weeks counting ballots in California. The election won't be certified by the Secretary of State for California until July 9. My prediction is, Bernie will win by a landslide.
Also note, several lawyers have filed briefs and there are people watching the counting in the large population areas in California to monitor voter fraud, etc. Hillary did not win the election until all votes are counted, no matter what CNN or MSNBC, et. al., say, this is not over.
These lawyers are also looking at Nevada, Massachusetts, Iowa, and several other states where the exit polling does not add up with vote tallies. So stop all this speculation. Have a nice weekend. Volunteer to call people in the District of Columbia. Listen to what Bernie has to say, don't listen to speculation, Bernie will tell us in due time. Relax. Again, this is not over. Did anyone hear Bernie say he was quitting. He has said before this will go to the convention floor, and I believe it will. So be positive, think positive, and be patient. No you cannot have your victory dance until we win it, and we will. Just be patient."

    1. Thanks, Listener. One becomes accustomed to instant everything, sometimes without realizing it . Of course, these things take time. I'm glad to hear Massachusetts is one of the states being looked into. There are so many Bernie spots on FB I don't remember where I saw it, but there was talk of voter coercion and other shenanigans here, among other states. I'll be glad to have such things documented if possible.

  4. I'm hoping my friend Angie stops by and starts blogging here. She is a yuge Bernie fan! :-) She married my best friend's eldest, and is such a dynamic woman, mom of six and just graduated college summa cum laude. I told her we could use some new conversation here. :-)

  5. Bernie has summoned his top advisors to his home in Burlington VT for a meeting there tomorrow (Sunday). Our youngest lives one mile from Bernie. :-)

    1. I hope they tell him to keep on going. I can think of no greater tragedy than if he stopped running and THEN the completed counting of the CA votes showed that he won that state in a landslide. He must be awfully tired of fighting with so much of the establishment against him and what I see as the betrayal of Elizabeth Warren. But I hope his supporters shore him up and side with him in his intention to go forward to the convention. Either way his campaign woke me up and I cannot unsee what I have seen.

    2. Well said, Susan! We didn't even think we weren't awake, but oh how much more aware we are thanks to Bernie. He has so much clarity and wisdom. His IQ must be very high to process the crap they throw at him so swiftly. Bernie and social media are an amazing combination!

    3. I stand by my opinion that Senator Warren should remain in the Senate, and Bernie's running mate should be Raul Grijalva.

  6. All good. The only things I have done are to re-register as Green (as I had planned to do, only a bit sooner) and kick in more for Bernie and folks he has endorsed. (Tim Canova being No. 1.) I am considering perhaps changing my bumper sticker plan, but that will have to wait for the second week of August in any event.

I also note that Dump Truck seems to be doing everything he can (and rather effectively) to make the GOP elite oppose him, which will give him a gold-plated excuse to refuse the nomination because of the lack of respect from that bunch of "losers." Then the Democratic nominee will be faced with someone who is not anywhere near as unpopular as the GOP primary winner. That would be no problem for Bernie, who can articulate reasons he should be hired, but could be a huge problem for someone whose argument is simply that s/he is less bad than DT. I note with considerable interest that the GOP convention is a week before the Democratic one. This could still be an incredibly interesting couple of months. Steady as it goes.

  7. And I am going to watch a movie: Dave. Have been thinking about it for some time, and to-night is the night. We took our grandkitty back home in Mountain View; she doesn't like traveling, but fell asleep after a while. Catching her and getting her into the carrier was a really big job--she knew what was up. But no one was hurt. Naomi had a couple of observations about London--people quit work and go home early by American standards, and on Sundays the shops close up early too. The Underground is much better than BART and CalTrain in the SF Bay Area, but not nearly as good as the Tokyo-area subway system.
