Yep, laboring that hard. Deadline, deadline, deadline. And I leave for Connecticut on Thursday evening. (Have I mentioned my sister-in-law's 50th wedding anniversary?)
Spent time with Mah*Sweetie's brother and sister-in-law today. I have tons to do the next few days, but then some time off around my birthday. All good! :-)
We got a lot of work done the past couple of days, inside and outside. And I have yet to start on an affidavit I promised without fail by tomorrow. The deadline looms, and I must answer the call soon. (I remember a college professor pointing out that there was a difference between the procrastination of a freshman and a junior or senior; the former delayed until it was too late; the latter until there was just barely time enough.)
If the bathroom scale is to be believed, I must have sweated off about four or five pounds working outside today--definitely enough to require water and salt pills.
I was looking at a very nice (retractable point) fountain pen, already at a very good price online. I spotted a very nice and unusual color that I particularly liked, but when I went looking for details, there was not an "add to cart" button, although they said they had them in stock. I had previously found mention that it was a special color only manufactured in 2003. So on a hunch I looked at the company's eBay site, and found four for sale there--one at the regular price, three at bid (one with prices quoted in GBP). I am guessing that the company is moving out their remaining small stock of a slow-moving item on eBay. So I placed an automated last-moment bid, and maybe I will get it at a bargain price. If that bid doesn't work, there are the others.
Are we all laboring so hard on Labor Day that no one has yet observed the firstliness of Howard Dean?
ReplyDeleteCat--the links you asked for are on the previous thread.

DeleteBill, if it's your sister-in-law's wedding anniversary, isn't it also your brother's anniversary? Or?
DeleteNo, this is my wife's sister and her husband.
