  1. I'd name that nebula Dean, because of its brilliance and clarity!

    1. Hmmm. You mean listener didn't take that gorgeous photo? *grin*

Actually, I recognize it as being from the Hubble Space Telescope, almost as good a photographer as our listener.

    3. :-) 'Tis true: puddle did the good deed.

Gorgeous nebula! I may have to snag a cosmic photo now and again.

My photos start again at 1:00am.

  2. *Another* cool sweet summer day! This has been, for the most part, a very lucky, comfortable summer. Not complaining, lol!

  3. From the inbox:

Subject: What I Learned From Reading Science Fiction

The music of the future will be either 1970s rock or 1930s/1940s Tin Pan Alley.

The Soviet Union will last for centuries.

No major buildings will be constructed or demolished in Manhattan over the next thousand years.

There will be human cities on Mars by 1970.

Tobacco will never cause health problems -- at least, for humans.

Computers will always use vacuum tubes.

The first Black US President will not originally be elected to that office. He (or she) will have been in the line of succession.

  4. The nebula photo IS very pretty, but I can't get rid of the idea it looks like a gaping mouth swallowing stars and coming our way!
