  2. For those concerned about media reports that a blizzard "slammed" this region: The timing, with heavy snowfall just at evening rush hour, was unfortunate. But none of my family have a 9-5 commute. And total snowfall was only about 4". Fairly modest for such a to-do.

    1. We've had snow flurries off and on all day, although it is above freezing and the snow on the ground is melting. Seems weird, even though I can understand how it happens.

  3. puddle, I'm assuming Nichole on FB is a relative? Can I just tell you that her comments *really* piss me off!

  4. Susan--niece-in-law. She's light years better than my sister-in-law. My nephew worked for Romney. And I hate being tag teamed by them. But on the whole, I think they pretty much represent what's left of the Republican party, and therefore interesting to me -- 'cause otherwise I doubt I'd believe they really exist, lol!

She's young, fertile, has four kids, is preggers with the fifth, her hubby makes $18,000/year and is *still* there. . . wanna talk cognitive dissonance?

  5. Tanner's been sleeping most of the day. When he's awake, he has pretty bad stomach pain. The graft period evidently takes weeks, so keep him in your heart.

    1. Poor little guy. I hate to see little ones suffer.

    2. Prayers ensuing for Tanner! I remember seeing a photo of what my niece looked like during her bone marrow transplant...like a skeleton of herself. It was so hard for her family to watch her suffer through it. I hasten it add that she has long been in remission (15+ years!) and is robust and very happy, a wife and even a mother. Hang in there! May Tanner's pain lessen each day, and though he will probably never forget this time, may his joyful days far outweigh this struggle. ♡
