  1. Howard'd be da foistiest!

Hey, the Kiddle's dropping by for an afternoon visit wit' his mama! Was on his way home from a church retreat, and decided that I wasn't that far off the beaten path. Just realized I don't know if the grands are with him or not.

  2. This has been a snow-squall-laden, high wind whipped, sun sometimes kind of day. It was 39F at one point, so we went and washed the cars (and dried the door seams). Then we are out and got supplies on the way gone. Okay, sub zeroes! We're ready!! :-)

  3. Just wanted to say... while Son #2 was at his Con I finished three twin-size quilts. Quite impressed with myself actually. (grin)

  4. Gremlins ate my post…

Lazy day here… gardening tomorrow afternoon. While doing some computer stuff that didn't need much attention I located the cemetery in Ontario where my great-great-great-grandfather is buried--together with a good score of other relatives. A must-visit when we travel to that area this September, eh? It seems he and a neighbor founded the cemetery and a church (since vanished) when the Episcopal priest wouldn't allow his wife either funeral or burial because she had attended Methodist churches. He also hosted the first barn-raising in the county at which the workers weren't given whiskey. (The latter from a history of the county I discovered today as well.)

    1. Grandad to VT*Grand: "Do you know what this dial on the fire extinguisher is for?"

VT*Grand to Grandad: "That tells you what time the fire is going to happen."
