  2. Well, almost. . . .

Made a point of listening to Rush today, lol! There's a new study out proving that Republican women politicians are more classically feminine than the Democratic women. So are the men. Rush left out the last part, however. . . .

But judging from the number of times he referred to the bump in Clinton's pants, I'd have to guess we have a bit of penis envy going on. . . .

    1. For me he's like a poisonous snake let loose in your environment: well to keep an eye on him. . . .

  4. I like the way they've positioned the carousel horses. They always had to go forward around and around when they were at work. Now in their retirement they can rear up and gallop for the stars!

    1. They have lovely expressions on their faces -- when I was a child, I remember some really snarly ones, lol!

  6. And you've got to give a hand to Hurricane Nadine in the Atlantic! She's been roaming around for a couple weeks, is now a hurricane for the second time, and hasn't hit land at all. But I love the rare lasso pattern she's created! Check this out:

  7. The eye went over Okinawa. Here's the Facebook blog of a military base there.

  8. Winnie seemed better during the day, but then started crying out in pain at around 10 p.m. You know how there's a "first time for everything"? We get to scratch "late night trip to the emergency vet clinic" off our list of things we haven't done yet.

We came home with pain pills for Winnie, as well as an antibiotic for her dental infection. We knew her mouth wasn't in great shape, but at her last checkup her regular vet said the amount of tartar she had was pretty typical for her age, and agreed with my inclination to avoid putting her under general anesthesia for a cleaning.

Currently waiting for blood test results.
