Red Sunflower

  1. Howard remains in first. And - wow! - that's the first red sunflower I've ever seen. Beautiful. I'm so thankful for pictures. They let me see things I never would have seen otherwise.

  5. The center of Isaac has come out on the north side of Cuba. Yesterday the Republicans were still saying for convention goers not to worry because the storm will be a hundred miles out at sea. Today they have decided to postpone the convention by a day. I guess they finally looked at the satellite map!

  6. All over the Chicon staff e-mail list. (Chicon 7 is the World Science Fiction Convention I'm helping put on). As someone said, "Enough already!" We lost the head of our logistics department the first of the week and a writer/fan some of us knew (I didn't) mid-week.
