State of the Art...never needs flushing!

  1. Being on the first Dean's List is good, listener. I respect and honor your decision to vote for Obama.

If Romney really doesn't care about the press he gets in the UK, why did he go there? A cynical person might wonder if he went to visit his money. But he hasn't visited the Isle of Man, Lichtenstein, or Switzerland. Maybe he swung by HSBC?

Back home, which is wonderful. Don't have to leave for work until 0630.

I continue to reflect on the military drunk sex case I was just involved in. The more I reflect, the more I am inclined to believe that we helped to save an innocent man (albeit one who was very foolish that one time)--not just that the prosecution failed to make their case. I feel very good about this case. The young man (discreetly) wept when the verdict was announced, and the future opened up in front of him again. Yep, I can sleep well. Gotta get up early to go to work on Saturday, though. No rest for the wicked.

  2. Clothes on the line absolutely soakin'! I wonder if we had another storm last night after I went to bed. Nothing big enough to wake me up, though.

Just under seventy degrees, and no supposed to leave the seventies today, so no complaint here.

Beau seems to be trying to get a week's worth of barking in this morning. Not my favorite part of dog owning, to tell the truth.

    This is SO hopeful!! http://www.classwarfareexists.com/google-introducing-internet-service-100-times-faster-than-todays-average-broadband/#axzz2132ur8zu

    1. Managed to access this link by pasting into a new tab. Just clicking only took me back to the blog (as been the case for recent links here).

I'm not sure how fast my AT&T fiber is, but it's as fast as I have any use for. And pricing is a bit better. (Internet is $40/month as part of a TV bundle, otherwise $50/month.)

  3. Almost afraid to say *anything* right now (I've been tricked before, lol!) BUT. . . . The new Trendnet modem arrived, and is installed. I am IMPRESSED: It was the only one of the three that 1. came with an installation manual as well as a CD, 2. came with a protector for the USB connector, 3. had a tiny tab on the CD envelope for reclosing (instead of a sticker which rips the paper), 4. makes sounds when dialing (loud ones), 5. loads facbook pages on the FIRST TRY, 6. has an *extremely stable* profile on the Task Manager, AND 7. is loading pages as fast as Green Lantern did when he was new, and FireFox was small. . . . NO MORE: Page cannot be found; connection was reset while the page was loading; timed out; could not find server at google.com; Windows Live could not find the server at earthlink -- make sure you have entered the address properly. Your ISP may be able to help you configure. . . . .

  4. Still going strong. Downloaded CCleaner in less than an hour. I'm still impressed. And pretty happy.
