Guess What!

On Wednesday I watched this Butterfly lay that Egg!
(It's a tiny round white dot just left of that big leaf's center line, just below half way down.)
See it? (Click to enlarge)
Plus!  Littlest*Grandduaghter is currently observing Monarch caterpillars spin their chrysalises.
She also says, "Guess what!" a lot.  And today she is 3 years old!

  1. Bless Howard, first among politicians I have loved in my life. Bar none.

And double dirty dang: Today is back to a 97° prediction! Guess I need to go up and turn the A/C on right now, or it'll be a losing battle. Well, it's a losing battle anyways, but I'll lose BIG if I wait much longer, rather than losing smaller, lol!

    1. Man, can I relate!

Once in a while, if I know ahead of time that the next day's high is going to be 90 or above, I leave the AC on overnight. It sure helps. Don't like doing that often, not least because Vivie Kitty prefers her open window and fresh air. But occasionally it is the better part of wisdom.

  2. Root*Center*Son wrote this today:

Computers create beautiful images, videos and the internet. They calculate the movements of the planets and stars, predict the future, archive the past, inspire ideas and are the new medium of human interaction. This is all done by a series of trillions of yes or no choices. One or Zero. With computers there is no maybe. This is not so different from human life. We think there are grey areas and maybes but if you break each choice down into smaller points of choice it always comes back to yes or no. Choose wisely and truthfully because each choice you make connects you to another choice, another point, with a new set of choices, which ultimately form the picture of your life. If you don’t know how to get from this choice to that with a simple yes or no, then you are missing the choices in between. Go inward, meditate, and find the path. ~ Robin Luke Schulte

  3. Beautiful, listener! Isn't it *nice* when our kids do us proud?

  4. Yah, he's a writer for sure. It's a gift that comes out later in life, so I've just been waiting for it. Proud am I! :-)

  5. BTW, tc asked if she could share his mediation with others. So I asked him and he said Sure. So feel free, just be sure to credit him. :-)

A friend of mine who is a children's counselor is very pleased with what he wrote. The funny thing is, so is my goddaughter's husband, who is in seminary to become a fundy pastor!

  6. Just saw the story about the stormy weather back East:

I hope all our Deaniacs are OK. Any word from Renee?

Court martial finished up, jury only needed an hour. I am reasonably sure justice was done, and I may have helped a bit. I can sleep in a bit in the morning, eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant, and be on my way back home. Now for a nice dinner to make up for not having a real lunch.

    1. Yes, Alan. Renee posted on Facebook about six hours ago. Apparently the storm came on suddenly, but fortunately she had taken both dogs out to visit the fire hydrant before the downpour.

  7. Cat--you go right ahead and say you miss someone as much as you like; we're friends here, and there is no imposition. I still miss my father so, and it has been nearly fifty years. I never really had a chance to say goodbye.

  8. How to make stuff clickable:

<+a href+>whatever you wish to make clickable goes here

    (minus the + signs!)

  9. Guess what! I decided to click and enlarge the leaf photo that's out front, and discovered there's a second egg near the top of the leaf, in the shadow! Ha!

Close with <+/a+> minus the + signs.

I had that in there, but when I cut and pasted I missed some. Thanks for catching that!

  11. Heh! That was just a test, but looked like it worked. Easier than my way. But remember: you have to CLOSE the tag. . . .
