Tea, anyone?

listener, your tea time lady reminds me strongly of a ceramic plaque from a fellow crafter at a craft show years ago: a sweet librarian type lady with her feet firmly planted in a cherry pie: Innocent Pie-Stander. . . . Subject not at all the same -- something about the *attitude* perhaps?

It is beginning to look like the GOP has done to itself nationally what they did to themselves in California quite some time ago: moved themselves so far out of the mainstream that no one who is capable of winning the GOP gubernatorial/presidential primary is capable of winning in the general election. BTW, it is looking like this might be the year the GOP loses the ability to block taxes in the legislature; they lost the ability to block budgets a year or two ago.

What candidates say in the primary often has little connection to what they say in the general election. Romney, in particular, would find it easy enough to reinvent himself -- to come across as the former Massachusetts governor rather than the candidate we presently see in the current debates.

We were supposed to have 6" of snow this evening and tonight. So far just rain, and last I saw that had mostly stopped. There may be some snow on the ground tomorrow morning, but I don't think it will be anything like 6".
