  1. Whatever the weather, Howard Dean is First!

Candles are decorated, gift is wrapped, clothes are washed, dried, some ironed and all packed and the dishwasher is done. Now to get some sleep, then off to work, then I get to drive the bride-to-be to her parents' house, then off to my hotel. Meetings on Friday, wedding shower on Saturday, home that night so I can celebrate Father's Day with Mah*Sweetie ~ who will be here tending Emma-cat and working and mowing the lawn and so on, while I'm away.

Did I mention that i also made 30 brownies for the shower?
I'm all tuckered out. Time to go get tucked in.

Traveling Mercies to you puddle...and, belatedly, Alan.

Photos are set to post. Take care and have fun! XOXOXXX

  2. Now that Huma Abedin is home, I hope it doesn't take long before her husband makes an important decision.

  3. Woo, listener, you make me tired.

Prolly don't need traveling mercies. As usual, Franklin won.

And the Root Center's solar greenhouse is up to 41!!!
(I'm up at this ungodly hour because I took a nap at nine.)

  4. Hi all. Today is a combo of driving a friend around town this morning. Don't know where yet, she'll let me know when I pick her up. Babysitting all afternoon and cooking for the crew for dinner. Lord help me. Am I too old to run away from home?
    *DONT_KNOW*

Got the backup computer, which our son uses to connect to the internet, back on our wireless home networ After spending close to an hour on the phone with AT&T. Also got the password I'll need for my new netbook/tablet computer to connect wirelessly rather than having to be physically hooked to the gateway/router. Didn't want to spend the time right now, with a weekend convention coming up tomorrow and a work deadline (week from tomorrow) staring me in the face. But these things happen when they happen.

  9. They *always* happen when they happen, and you'd rather that they NOT happen. But well done is done.

  10. My little "nap" last night has messed up my whole day, lol! Maybe tomorrow.

Beau and I had much too exciting a walk today. He said he was sorry, and has been ultra subdued since. I need to be better prepared for exuberance, I think.

My two previous posts still haven't showed up, but I see that puddle has been able to post so I'll try again.

Temperature reached 80 today, and mostly sunny. We were able to each on the porch for the first time in more than a week. Beginning to feel the way it's supposed to this time of year. But most of the next three days I will be in an over-regrigerated hotel. Over-refrigerated at least if you aren't wearing a business suite.

And I did want to say -- for the third time now -- that the cloud picture is beautiful.

  12. Gotta sports jacket? Sweater? I'm finding my temperature regulator doesn't work as well as it used to. I get hot more easily, and cold more easily, too. Bummer. But I betcha have a good time anyways. . . .

Yes, I definitely expect to have a good time. What I usually do is make a point of wearing a really heavy shirt rather than trying to bother with a sweater.

I don't really know if I'm more sensitive to hot and cold than I used to be. At least, not enough to be totally obvous. I always found hotels too cold, summer and winter.
