The Brick House was a wedding present from the bride's parents

Today I am driving to CT to see a dear old friend, then on through RI to Cape Cod.

  2. On Thursday I addressed postcards for Racine HQ. I got to write one out to Howard & Judy! So at the bottom I added: "Addressed by an ol' Dean blogger, who also volunteered at Dean HQ. ~ listener :-) Thank-YOU!"

  3. FYI...I'm not bringing my laptop on this trip. No need to send Sheriff Chuck.
Back late Monday night, blogging again on Tuesday. Y'all take care! ♥

  4. Beautifully moderate day here ~~ temps in the upper seventies, cloud and sunshine in turn. I woke to blunder, but the storm never materialized, and am promised storms for this afternoon, but I see/hear no indication that that is true. Will see.

Beautiful day here, too, but in a different way. Temps edged into the 90s, but with humidity down it was pretty comfortable.

Had a book discussion at the library (Mieville's The City and the City), then went out for soft drinks and talk.

  6. One of the things I miss since moving here is my book group. At one time we figured we were the longest running book group in the DC area (started circa 1973). I kept going for a couple of years after I moved here, but ultimately lost track. Since I was the youngest member and I'm almost 70, I suspect we got disbanded in other ways. . . .
