  1. Howard Dean is first!!

Man, it took me a half hour to figure out how to get a COMMENTS link to open to the commenting.
I had to do it manually, starting with yesterday's link and fudging.

    Blah.

  2. Well, I do appreciate you making the link.

It took me some figuring out as well. One thing I eventually discovered is that, by clicking on the title of a post, you can see that post with the comments below it.

I hope that made at least vaguely grammatical sense. I'm quite sleepy. Night, everyone.

One of the things that is confusing to me is that it takes so very, very long for the comments to actually appear. As was the case at the end of last night, I've had a tendency to just conclude that the comments link isn't working and give up. Guess that's something else we'll get used to .

  5. Good to see you're all plugging along. I managed to get most of the '92 video of Bill and Al in Valdosta uploaded to YouTube and on Hannah. I've not enabled comments anywhere, 'cause it's a chore to keep ahead of the robots and the commercial spammers.
It could be depressing to listen to Bill Clinton 18 years ago and realize how little progress we've made. But, that we're still trying is encouraging. What I've realized is that a President can do little, if he's got to battle a "do-nothing constructive" Congress.
Somewhere I have a tape of Howard. When I find it I can process it and upload it. :)

  6. It's just not the same around here without puddle.
    Has anyone called her?

    Here's today's Ally Update!! ~

We got Ally's blood counts back for today.  Her red and white cells are great!  This means no transfusion and NO MORE SHOTS!!!  (The poor girl has been getting a shot in the leg for 16 days.)

Bonus snow day!  I got to stay home with Ally today (and get some shopping in this morning...although it was for school purposes).

Here is the rest of the week...dreading Friday:
Wednesday: Daddy home with Ally (because he is working this weekend)
Thursday: Auntie Lynn comes for the day
Friday (February 19th...our least favorite day in the world) MRI scan, Echo-cardiogram and meeting with the nutritionist.
         2/19/08 - We learn Ally's cancer is high-risk
2/19/09 - We learn the cancer is back.
    Saturday - packing
Sunday - Off to NYC with Auntie Kelly.

Note: Lately Ally has been randomly bringing up things that happened months ago; for example, she started talking about how much she misses Scott the Builder who made her Make-a-Wish Playhouse!

  9. Bill--I was thinking it took a long time for the comments to come up, but then realized that if I clicked on "Comments" and immediately scrolled down, there they were, even while something else seemed to be loading. Wait long enough, and they popped up, but they were already there, just downscreen.

  10. Sounds like good Ally news to me. Did puddle's electricity freeze in the lines?

Alan --- they aren't downscreen for me. All scrolling does is keep me busy until they appear. They often seem to appear just as I scroll back up, but sometimes it's longer.

Oh, I see what you mean. Click on "Commetns for this post" and you can read the comments while they're not yet on the regular screen.
