American Oystercatcher

My sister-in-law took this photo on Cape Cod this past week.

In all her years on the Cape she had never seen an American Oystercatcher...
the bird that Shiloh's leadership brought an increase of 45%.
She was, at the time, telling a friend about Shiloh, so was stunned to see it.
Since then, she has learned that Shiloh taggedsome American Oystercatchers before on that very beach.  It was a good moment.

  1. Thanks, friends, for your kind words yesterday.
W.A., it was very hard last year that Eldest's brother (and best friend) died on his 50th birthday. This year, though, it feels more like a blessing, in that we will be reminded every year that we have sorrow but we ALSO have joy.

Wil and I scattered a little more of Shiloh's ashes, this time under the little Sugar Maple we planted last Autumn. We did that during the same 13 minutes of the day that his fateful helicopter trip happened. And we read aloud the long list of posthumous accolades Shiloh received this past year.

I made an album about it. Is anyone able to open this link?
