From Susan. I recently got a Nokbox (which I recently realized nok stands for next of kin). Truthfully I haven't started to fill it. When I do I'll make sure that my kids tell you what's going on with me when I can't.
✨π✨ Thank you, Susan. We obtained a NokBox recently too! Wil is about half done filling it. We discuss it as he goes through it, and when it’s accomplished we’ll share about it with the kids. I suppose it was Shiloh’s sudden death at 46 that got us going on it. He had usually taken care of their financials, and it was a gargantuan effort for his widowed wife to take on. Her dad was a huge help. But there’s enough work in just the grieving without the massive headaches. You are doing a very kind thing for your loved ones.
Susan: For me it was from my youngest brother's death in 2024. I was left to figure it all out, close down his utility accounts, etc., etc. The banking wasn't so hard, but there were things I just didn't know how to do. Didn't want my kids to face more hassle at a time when that's not first order of business.
Shiloh spent a lot of time near the Beaufort Sea...where the "pizzlies" or "grolar bears" are. It's because the Polar Bears are forced onto land too much and with global warming the Grizzlies keep moving north. Shiloh had to carry a shotgun incase any of the humans were attacked...but they never were. Their supplies were broken into a few times, though.

ReplyDeleteI remember you going through that. It makes sense to get it sorted while we still have all our buttons (and still know where the details are)!

ReplyDeleteI'm doing fine. Hope all is well with nordy.
Currently watching educational videos. Did you know that grizzly bear/polar bear hybrids are a thing that exists?
I did not know that. Educational television / video is a wonderful thing.
DeleteYay, Renee! Thanks for checking in.
