Cat…I called the gift shop but they don’t take orders over the phone…!!! They suggested sending flowers from a local florist. Sigh. For that I would need a room number.

Minutes ago today the Trump regime abruptly cancelled citizenship ceremonies for several immigrants in Boston.
THEY CANCELLED CITIZENSHIP CEREMONIES.
These immigrants did everything right. Followed the rules. Got in line. Followed the law to the letter. All they had left was the swearing in ceremony.
And Trump banned them anyway.
All are from Black & brown majority nations. It was never about "legal" immigration. It was always about advancing white supremacy.
Now, here's an interesting tidbit I came across in My Daily Quiz. If I once knew this fact, I'd forgotten it. It explains a lot.
7. The city of Ashkelon only became a Jewish city in modern times. In ancient times, however, it belonged to a bitter enemy of the Hebrew people. Which of these peoples inhabited the ancient city?
Your Answer: The Philistines
The Philistines were a sea-going people, presumably descended from Mycenean Greeks. For centuries they were a bitter enemy of the Hebrews, and the conflict gave rise to legends such as that of David and Goliath, and of the mighty Samson. After the Romans destroyed the Kingdom of Judea, they turned the entire land into a province of Rome named "Syria Palaestina", later known as "Palestine". Of the five ancient Philistine cities, four are today the sites of new Israeli cities, including Ashkelon, Ashdod, Gat, and Ekron.
Right. And land was taken away and given to the Jewish people after the Holocaust. Easy for the other nations to decree, since they weren't the ones living there at the time. And since two objects can't occupy the same space, we have conflict.
Notes on the last thread.

The fifth Philistine city is Gaza.
