  2. Well, Loch Nest is still sitting by the fuel dock at Champlain Marina. We dropped her off Wednesday evening, expecting that she would be hauled out on Thursday morning and set into her cradle for the Winter. Turns out the water in front of the travel lift was too shallow for her keel. So they had the area there dredged on Thursday. But then the travel lift wasn't working! So they're having it fixed this week and she'll probably be hauled out late Wednesday or early Thursday. All good. It's kind of fun seeing her on their webcam!

  3. Trump Shares Wild Conspiracy Theory

September 28, 2025 at 1:49 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 513 Comments

President Trump posted a video purporting to be a segment on Fox News (it wasn’t) in which an A.I.-generated, deep-faked version of himself sat in the White House and promised that “every American will soon receive their own MedBed card” that will grant them access to new “MedBed hospitals,” Politico reports.

If you’re unfamiliar with the “MedBed” conspiracy theory, it’s a belief that there are certain hospital beds “loaded with futuristic technology” that can “reverse any disease, regenerate limbs, and de-age people.”

The video has since been deleted.

    2. He's batsh!t crazy. Congress is complacent. The Supreme Court is enabling.
I still don't see how we get out of this mess short of some serious shifts in the midterms.
But that's more than a year away...if we even still have elections by then.

  4. We need a sane President and we don't have one. Susan

    1. Well, I donno. Vance is sane and cunning, twisted and evil. He'd be far more dangerous in my view. Seems to me, he's propping up Trump till after the midterms, when he'll manage a takeover curtesy of the Twenty-fifth Amendment. After that, all Hell will break loose.

I hope to God I'm wrong, but it makes sense. Vance is no dummy. He sees the same cognitive and physical decline in Trump as we do. If he wanted to, he'd invoke the Twenty-fifth. That he hasn't indicates - to me at least - that he has a plan.

    2. In other words, things can always get worse, and usually do.

    3. My experience, over what is now a rather long life, is that there are temporary set-backs but the long-term trend is for things to get better.
