I've bookmarked the article, listener. Not much attention span for it today. I did notice it included that picture of the senator meeting with Kilmar Abrego Garcia. I first saw that when I came home Thursday evening and I was so happy and relieved for some good news.
I felt the same way, Renee! Such a relief that Garcia's senator was, at the last minute, allowed to meet with him! Fascinating account by Sen Van Hollen! Garcia had not heard a single thing since being abducted!! They wouldn't even let him call a lawyer or his wife so folks would know what had happened to him!
It couldn’t be in the nave as usual as a pipe burst and flooded the floor just before Holy Week. (Worst timing ever.) But a nice service anyway, and the Memorial Garden was beautiful. So many surprises of bulbs emerging and blossoms!
The protest event in Montpelier on Saturday was underwhelming. "Just" a honk and wave, not a big crowd, because people were scattered into smaller groups everywhere. Still...good that it happened.
Well worth a read!!
