  2. Wil and I are driving to NH today to pick up Younger*Grandson (9) and Youngest*Grand (5) ... who will be with us for 5 days and 4 nights. Wish us luck, because they are just getting over the flu. Heh. But Daughter has to travel for work and we are pitching in (and, besides, they are incredibly well behaved children)! They will be here through Wil's early birthday party Friday night. We are super happy to have them ... just hoping the germs don't come with them!

  3. Hi guys. Back after a bout with kidney stones and an unexpectedly long recovery. Still not one hundred percent, more like seventy-five, but finally definitely on the mend.

I'm very upset over Pope Francis' death. But, as my home nurse pointed out kindly and wisely, he's home and was no doubt very happy to get there.

  4. Back from Minicon last night. Exhausting con because of all the panels I felt compelled to attend. I was on two back-to-back Sunday and they were so different (Ask a Scientist and one on plot structure) that the moderator of the second assumed I'd forgotten my stuff when I left it on the table as I visited the restroom.

  5. I think the research on this might be mixed, but there is this idea that people can hold on long enough to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, etc. before passing away. I saw someone on Reddit say something like "Easter Sunday is like the Super Bowl for the Catholic church." Glad he was able to give his Easter message calling for peace and care for the marginalized.

  6. Sooo good to come home and find posts from Cat, W.A. and Renee!!!
I’m so sad you’ve been ill, Cat!! I had hoped you were simply binge reading or writing, and avoiding the news.

It’s been a rough season around here! First nordy, then W.A. and Alan and now Cat; and all of that after my emergency surgery end of December. Susan, you may be elder than most of us, but you seem to be holding up better! Keep on keeping on.

    Everybody take care. ❤️
