“This is an admission, and a massively un-American statement. It is time for every Republican leader to pick a side… Trump or the Constitution, there is no middle on defending our nation anymore.”

    1. Rats always sow the seeds of their own destruction.

This guy hands you the knife and still doesn't get cut.
Hopefully, this time he handed the Committee something more.

    2. For some reason, Poor Donald seems convinced that if he admits the bad things he's done, he'll escape punishment. He's not alone. Lots of miscreants are out on the street because they have learned that pleading guilty works. The killers of Arbery have apparently learned that they want to a avoid a federal sentence from which there is no chance of parole. So, two of them want to plead guilty to something.

  7. Penny was transferred to a nursing home today. We will be able to visit her there, as we could not at the hospital.

    1. I do hope it's a nice nursing home, Bill.

    2. Gosh, Bill, I didn't realise you haven't been able to visit Penny at the hospital. That is so hard, I do know, from when Wil was in hospital December before last with his heart issue. It's so good that you can see her now! It will surely be reassuring for Penny and a great relief for you. How are you doing at home? I imagine the house seems rather large suddenly. Take care.

    1. And Putin doesn't have time in his schedule for a re-do. At this rate it won't be long before the UK has the diplomatic heft of Greenland. Brexit looks worse by the day. I wonder if we will see Northern Ireland and/or Scotland secede from the UK this year.

    2. My chance of being placed on a criminal jury is probably somewhere between zero and nothing. Very slim chance of getting on a civil jury. Overeducated and too much courtroom experience. But it is my civic duty to present myself.
