    1. DT's doctor's veracity is as dubious as DT's. Of course there are lots of DT's supporters who will want to believe unduly positive reports.

  7. DT’s doc’s day he’s doing well.

They also said he was “diagnosed 72 hours ago.”

    1. Sooo, when was he first tested?

    2. So, did they misspeak, or did they just let the cat out of the bag? 72 hours ago would have been Wednesday morning, the morning after the debate. As for his doctor's rosy statements, after Woodrow Wilson's massive stroke his doctor announced that he suffered from a touch of indigestion and “a depleted nervous system.” And that's not the only time a president's physician has lied through his teeth about his patient's health.

  8. So there’s that famous question:
“What did the President know and when did he know it?”

    1. Via politicalwire.com:

Dr. Sean Conley said the President wasn’t on oxygen on Thursday, and not on oxygen on Friday “while he was here,” suggesting that he may have been on supplemental oxygen at some point on Friday before admission to Walter Reed.
He repeatedly declined to say if Trump was ever on oxygen.
The doctor also said Trump tested positive 72 hours ago or Wednesday morning. Trump did not tweet he was positive until Friday at 12:54 a.m.

  9. A source familiar with the President’s health (unnamed):

“The President’s vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning. He is definitely not on a clear path to recovery.”

The statement came through the WH press pool. CNN is seeking a name to put with the quote.

“The President’s vitals over the last 24 hours were very concerning. And the next 48 hours will be critical to his care. We are definitely not on a clear path to a full recovery.”

The statement came through the Walter Reed press pool and also given to fringe reporters. CNN is seeking a name to put with the quote.

  10. The ‘Bottom Is Falling Out’ for Republicans
October 3, 2020 By Taegan Goddard

Mike Allen: “Some top GOP operatives, privy to data from swing states, tell me that this week’s chaotic presidential debate had a calamitous effect on Republican chances in tight Senate races.”

Said one GOP insider: “The bottom is falling out everywhere. Everyone knew Trump was capable of this kind of behavior. But these voters had never had 90 straight minutes of that behavior thrust in their faces.”

“This insider said the debate didn’t faze hardcore Trumpers. But he said it turned off ‘open to Trump’ swing voters, especially women in suburbs.”

  12. The Wall Street Journal reports that Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell plans to cancel votes for next two weeks. Three Republican senators - Mike Lee, Thom Tillis and Ron Johnson – have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last few days. However, McConnell still plans to hold hearings for the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett to the supreme court starting on 12 October.

  18. The unnamed source who provided more dire information about President Trump’s medical condition after the official briefing appears to be White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, who spoke to reporters without cameras and was caught on a feed asking to be off the record. The Associated Press actually named Meadows as the official contradicting Trump’s own physician.

“This was strictly a precautionary test, as I have done multiple times over the last few weeks — going to the White House, going to the Oval Office, being in Air Force One,” Johnson said. “This is the exact same thing. I’ve never quarantined after a test, there’s no reason to do so, because I’m not sick.”

He said he got his positive result on the way home from the dinner. At the news conference, he said he still opposes a statewide face mask mandate.

Well, if he selectively spreads pestilence among Republicans, I suppose that's something in his favor. As long as they don't expect us to pay for their medical care. 27. Three retail businesses in Charlotte, North Carolina closed for deep cleaning after a visit from Ivanka Trump, the Charlotte Business Journal reports.

Politico: “In a role reversal, the president who mocked his rival for being weak and hiding ‘in his basement’ is stuck in isolation under doctors’ supervision while Biden jets off to states like Michigan on Friday and Florida on Monday, with the battleground map all to himself.” “It’s a contrast the Biden campaign intends to sharpen as long as Trump is sidelined from coronavirus. Only a month remains until Election Day, and a record 3.2 million Americans already cast early ballots in 21 states, with Democrats out-voting Republicans so far.”

Two sources tell Gabriel Sherman that doctors gave President Trump an ultimatum on Friday: “he could go to the hospital while he could still walk, or doctors would be forced to take him in a wheelchair or on a stretcher at a later point if his health deteriorated… Trump waited to leave for the hospital until the stock market closed on Friday. After spending months denying the dangers of COVID-19, Trump is expressing an emotion aides have rarely seen: fear. On Friday, Trump grew visibly anxious as his fever spiked to 103 Fahrenheit and he was administered oxygen at the White House… Two sources told me Trump experienced heart palpitations on Friday night—possible side effects of the experimental antibody treatment he received. Trump has wondered aloud if he could defeat the disease.”

Trump Releases Video from Hospital [Click] New York Times: “He looked wan and sounded less energetic than usual in a rambling message that included campaign talk and boasts about his record.”
