I got to pick up my 6 year old grandson from Farm School on Thursday.  He showed me around...

  1. ⭐️🌟⭐️ HUGE BREAKING NEWS!!!⭐️🌟⭐️

As you know, for a bill to pass in the House, it needs 218 votes. Right now the National Nurse Act has 217 cosponsors in the House!!! One more and the bill WILL pass the House!!! It blows my mind that a group of citizens has worked so hard for nearly 15 years to get us a National Nurse!! And it all started on the Dean Blog with Nurse Teri (who is still the key driving force!). Talk about deserving a Howardly!!! πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

  3. Wil says that to get folks out to vote this year we really need a song on the radio like the one that brought so many people to San Francisco for the Summer of Love. Who should write it? Noel Paul Stookey? Joan Baez? Taylor Swift?

    2. I'm not sure we'd need angry lyrics. Strong lyrics would be welcomed, though. Maybe Greta Thunberg should write the lyrics and Taylor Swift could set them to music, and it could really inspire the youth!

    3. Bernie's ad back in 2016 with Garfunkel's song "America" was brilliant. Best political ad of all times. THAT would be the song.

    5. Thanks, Susan! I'd forgotten about Bernie's ad with the Simin & Garfunkle tune!
(I'm somewhere in the photos taken at Bernie's announcement at Lake Champlain!)

We sure are looking hard for America these days!

    1. Oh, that headline does my heart good, even considering the source.

  5. I was just reading a comparison of the new WWI movie "1917" with other famous examples of the genre. There were one or two screenshots from the new movie. Supposedly it was intended to be very accurate in its depiction, but two things are very unrealistic. The uniforms are all obviously new, and there is no mud. On top of that, the soldiers are all evidently well fed and otherwise in good condition--they resemble the American doughboys just arrived in England, not English troops worn down by trench warfare. But the beautiful new uniforms and no mud! There was considerable rain at the supposed time and place depicted.

  6. Iran admits shooting down Ukrainian airliner 'unintentionally' [Click] Iran Air Flight 655 [Click] was carrying about twice as many people. The US was not very forthcoming about accepting responsibility, and did not give very generous settlements or administer significant punishment(s); Iran has a chance to look better. Offering compensation through the oil trading scheme the Europeans set up to evade US sanctions might be very interesting.
