  1. Hmmm..... Blogger ate my previous post, evidently. Will restore in a bit. Here's an addendum:

Ringing the changes: how Britain’s red phone boxes are being given new life [Click] I didn’t know they were cast iron. That there were several models is not surprising, but knowing the designations of the various models moves me to look them up.

  3. Hi everybody,

Back safe and sound from the procedure, and fed! I always enjoy my food but, man, when you have nothing from 11:30 PM till after 5:30 PM the next day, it /really/ makes you appreciate your food!

Anyway, the procedure went fine, no hitches. They didn't find anything, but they took a biopsy. Should get the results from that in a few days.

So, that's over! *big sigh of relief*

    2. Eating out is always great. And like Alan, I always regarded fasting as the worst part of a colonoscopy. Glad that's behind you and hope the biopsy shows the expected nothing.

  4. This a stab in the dark by someone who knows nothing at all about flowers, but could they be lupine?

    1. The flowers do look vaguely lupinesque, but the leaves are wrong. Puzzler.

  5. 160 UK MP’s pledge to open alternative parliament if current one is adjourned by Boris Johnson. [Click] 40 MP’s make up a quorum of the House of Commons—but must include the Speaker [John Bercow]. So far there is no report of his signature on the Church House Declaration, but I shouldn’t expect it before the time comes.
