"Of course, the entire nation watched as Donald Trump gleefully pushed for the investigation to conclude early, after having hinted at trying to strip McCabe of his pension weeks earlier in a tweet at the beginning of the inquiry. It was clear that both Trump and his whipping boy at the Justice Department, Jeff Sessions, were intent on making sure they ruined McCabe’s life.
McCabe, who gave over 20 years of his life serving this country, was essentially fired over some conjured up and convoluted scheme by the Trump administration, to discredit witnesses to save a corrupt White House. That is more than enough reason to retaliate. Nonetheless, the president has been sued over 134 times in federal court since his inauguration, which speaks volumes about what kind of man he truly is—manipulative, deceitful, and corrupt."
We toodled up to San Jose today to visit with Artist*daughter, have lunch at a celebrated ramen restaurant, and do some shopping. Fairly heavy traffic, but nice weather. The recent rains partly refreshed the green of the hillsides. Still a fair amount of wild mustard to be seen, and now wild radish as well. Some California poppies in dry, sunny spots here and there, and all the oak trees have leafed out.
