Mount Mansfield (dusk / cloud blanket)

  1. Well, howdy!

Let's get this thread rolling before it's too late. LOL!

We spent the evening with VT*Grand, now age 10. Here are a few priceless moments:

    What's new?
"There was a car accident in town and traffic was backed up all the way to where the cow lives."

    (Grandad is still randomly chuckling.)

Well that will clarify things, seeing as we live in Vermont.

Laughing she adds, for the sake of making it clear:

"The cow that lives in the teal shed."
    Then she adds,

"Of course there are at least two teal sheds in town."

    But wait, there's more:

"My best friend, Addison, was walking on the playground at school, talking to me, and walked right into a pole.
"And that's when we realised that we are just alike."

(Eat your heart out, Lily Tomlin!)

  2. It's good to write those down, listener. You think you'll remember but they fade away with time.

    Why do hummingbirds hum?
    Because they forgot the words.

Why didn't Noah fish very often?
Because he only had two worms.

What did the number 0 say to the number 8?
    Nice belt!

    1. Hahaaa! Thanks, Susan!

We have written them down, over the year, and are up to 22 pages of these gems. I am adding related photos and sketches and we'll publish them for our kids for Christmas. (Shhhhhh.) 😉

  3. I just discovered that a photo I thought I'd posted for another day got posted here tonight somehow. So I deleted it, but then realised I could have deleted some posts with it. I hope not! Does anyone know? If there were posts, I hope folks can easily repost. So sorry for any inconvenience!!

    1. No, I stopped by a couple of times and there were never any posts until your first one.

    2. I had good intentions, but that danged work kept getting in the way--also didn't notice much in the news to write home about. Just found a couple and will add them to the new thread.
