Made in Vermont

Wow!  I saw this at the local craft center and it blew me away.  So beautiful!!
Sorry to say I neglected to note the name of the artist, because I was stunned by the price tag: $2,700.

  1. It's WAY too much money, but I like the way the end arches echo church windowns.

I have shingles in my left eye. Sucks. It's being treated.

    1. Ohhhh, Susan!! My heart is there with you. Are you on an anti-viral as well as seeing an ophthalmologist? As someone who has had shingles 8+ times (including once on my temple and very close to my eye), I realise this is very dangerous for your vision. Please keep us posted. I wish I lived close enough to cook you dinner every night until you're out of danger.

    2. PS: If you can take it, Aleve (Naproxen) is great at knocking back nerve pain. My doc had me on prescription strength Naproxen at first, but when I went to renew it, the pharmacist told me that doubling up on over-the-counter-strength Aleve comes to the same amount and costs less. So that's what I did...with my doctor's blessing. ✨💖✨

    3. FYI, there are two anti-viral meds that knock back the Zoster virus very quickly. One is Acyclovir, and the other is Famciclovir. If you may need to take it long term, opt for Famciclovir (aka Famvir). I got it straight from an Infectious Disease specialist that Famvir does not build up in your system, and the only side effect I've ever encountered (in 15 years of taking it!) is headaches. But! Last year I happened upon a brand of Famvir that doesn't cause headaches for me, so I get that exact brand each time and it's all good. I figure I've been reacting to the filler, not the med, all this time...! Anyway, I hope that very soon it's knocked back and a distant memory. ♥

  2. Oh, it's no fun for sure, but my doctor sent me to her own ophthalmologist. I'm on Valtrex for 7 days and I'll be going back to the ophthalmologist on Friday morning. (I HATE mornings, but it's the only time available). Not really having any significant pain. I just look like I've been boxing somebody much bigger.

    1. Wow! I'm impressed and VERY glad to hear the pain his been minimal~!! How long have you had it? Hurrah for Valtrex and all the good people who have invented these anti-virals! I'd forgotten about Valtrex, as it came into use after I started on the Famvir, and I think that's just for short-term issues. But, yeah, good stuff.

Morning visits are rotten. Why doesn't the whole world just start at 9 or 10 am instead of super early? Everyone would get more sleep and be in a better mood. 😉

    2. I've had it since this past Saturday, but I didn't know what it was until today.
