  1. It seems I mistook the time and left a post on the previous thread; well, here's another link:

  2. Just a few quotes this morning.—Alan
    ==============================
    First Read: “You know things aren’t going well at the White House when the president would rather want to talk about his taxes than health care. And that brings us to what is still the biggest story American politics: The Republican’s health care overhaul efforts are unraveling.”
    ===========================
    “A culture of paranoia is consuming the Trump administration, with staffers increasingly preoccupied with perceived enemies—inside their own government,” Politico reports. [And we hope their mailbox is about to overflow…]
    ========================
    President Trump denounced as “fake news” the release by journalists of a portion of his 2005 income tax form, just hours after his administration appeared to confirm the accuracy of the documents, the New York Times reports.
    ===========================
    Friend of Political Wire Thomas Wood has put together a remarkable 117-page timeline detailing President Donald Trump’s ties to Russia.

    It’s the most comprehensive (and incriminating done to date), and as Wood notes, “the more detailed and more comprehensive it gets, the more incriminating it all seems.”

    1. Googling "Trumptanic" pulls up quite a few hits, including cartoons and YouTube videos.

  3. My Ides postcard will be late.

    When a Vermonter looks out the window and exclaims, "Holy crap!" ~ you know it's a big storm.

    Our Winter Storm Warning turned into a Blizzard Warning.

    I'll post photos this afternoon.

    1. We give a dispensation for blizzards, if folks live close to DC--like close compared to the West Coast. My postcards ought to take at least three days to arrive.

      I remember being in Fairbanks about 1973 and noticing that two-car garages there often had a car on one side and a snowmobile on the other.

  4. Thanks for that pink termination postcard, listener. I printed it on cardstock and only had to trim it a little to turn it into a 6" X 4/14" postcard. I'll be running over to the post office soon.

    1. That IS a good one! I dropped my postcards off at a curbside mailbox on the way home last night; the pickup is scheduled at noon. Here's hoping for a Category Five blizzard of postcards at the White House! (Hmmmmm....do they grade blizzards the same way as hurricanes? No need for such knowledge hereabouts.)

      We're up to 28.5" of snow and it's still snowing, though we did finally get plowed out about 15min ago.

    3. If I can leave the house in time tomorrow, I'm going to go to the Burlington Post Office to send my cards, so I can buy the Harry Potter stamps and use Voldemort and Belatrix LeStrange as the stamps!!
