Ice Falls at Shelburne Bay, Vermont

  1. Three women were talking about the inconveniences of growing old. "Sometimes," one of them confessed, "when I go to my refrigerator, I can't remember if I'm putting something in or taking something out."

"Oh, that's nothing," said the second woman. "There are times when I find myself at the foot of the stairs wondering if I'm going up or if I've just come down."

"Well, my goodness!" exclaimed the third woman. "I'm certainly glad I don't have any problems like that." -- and she knocked on wood. "Oh," she said, starting up out of her chair, "there's someone at the door."

Now, that has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but laughter is the best medicine, and to quote an unknown person "Fear is the darkroom where negatives are developed".

    1. From the article:

And judging from recent dangerous comments of President-elect Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the world could get far more violent.

Responding to Putin’s recent comment about strengthening Russia’s nuclear weapons capabilities in 2017, Trump – a day after meeting with Pentagon and defense contractors – called on the U.S. to “greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability” until the rest of the world “comes to its senses” regarding nuclear weapons (see CBC News http://bit.ly/2irt2Ha).

With hundreds of nuclear weapons currently aimed at each other on hair-trigger alert, it’s Putin and Trump (as well as Obama) who need to come to their senses.

  4. Twitter has until January 20th to turn off DT's account, for the sake of national security. If they do not, I am going to delete my account in protest.

  5. Couple of days ago, ordered City of Joy, which I've never seen, just read the book. $6.16. Just now, ordered, The Constant Gardener, which I saw several times with Edwin, and we both loved it. $4.70--new! Going to be odd to see Voldemort as a hero, lol!
