  1. We still have the power!!!

With 85% of the votes counted, Bernie is at 60% and Hillary at 39%. Sweet!

    1. Bill, there were at least three NH towns that voted more for Hillary than for Bernie. The first voted at midnight, and had three people who voted Dem: 2 for Hillary and 1 for Bernie. :-) In another town all 17 Dems went for Hillary.

    2. The third town was Bedford. That turned out as 50% Hillary, 49% Bernie, with well over 1000 votes each.

    3. HuffPost didn't report that midnight vote. Only the one where Bernie got 100% of the votes. And at the time of my post, my eyes couldn't detect any place on their map that showed Bernie losing, although one appeared later.

I left a late post on a different topic on the last thread.

  2. On NH Primary Day, I learned that on Super Tuesday, here in Vermont, I will be working at the polls 12:30-3:30pm, then returning at 6:45pm to help count the vote. My part will be counting the write-in votes, and reconciling the checklist. Cool! :-)

  3. BTW, I think that is my favourite photo of Bernie, because it shows his sense of humour: "A sense of the fitness of things." :-)

  9. e-mail from berniesanders.com:

"Since the polls closed in New Hampshire yesterday evening, we have received more than 150,000 contributions from people across the country for a grand total of $5.2 million... in just 18 hours."

    150000/18 = 8333/hr = 2.3 per second.

Yes, that is a nice photo of Bernie--close to a portrait. Can anyone recognize the lapel button?

    2. Alan, I'm pretty sure Bernie is wearing the US Senate lapel pin.

  10. Re late posts on previous thread:

Bill—I figure about the same as you do about the convention.

Cat—I have also wondered if California might be in play this year; it has been a very long time since that happened, I believe. I had an e-mail from the Bernie campaign yesterday; looks like they are beginning to seriously ramp up volunteers in the state.

  11. Okay, now I'm feeling furious!

Bill Clinton has had the audacity to chastise Bernie supporters for being "sexist" toward Hillary. I have been trying for hours to define what was bothering me so much about it. At last a little clarity. It's not only that I don't like all Bernie supporters being lumped together as being cruel trollers. I feel that when Bill Clinton chose to be a fool while President, he lost the right to talk to citizens about their behaviour! I do not want to hear from him anymore. I have not watched his speeches, or read articles about him and I sure don't want him in the headlines day after day going forward. As a wise friend recently said to me, "I think he has a personality that cannot bear being out of the spotlight. Unlike First Ladies, especially Michelle Obama, who take on complementary projects, Bill would want to be in there...pushing this or that."

And this is likely to happen, because the DNC has stacked the super delegates. I dread it all.
