  2. The times sure have changed; who would have dared to write like this about the Clintons twenty years ago? [Click] I am getting the impression that the present simply does not click for HRC, just as it does not for Jeb Bush.

  3. I am skeptical of the source, but here is an item from politicalwire.com:

The New York Times reports that Iowa Democrats “are displaying far less passion” for Clinton than for Sanders “three weeks before the presidential caucuses, creating anxiety inside the Clinton campaign as she scrambles to energize supporters and to court wavering voters.”

  4. Was snowing up a storm across the river, but not here, on this side. Now it's stopped there, too. Further snow has been taken off of the 10 day forecast.

  5. Some tidbits from here and there:

A new New York Times/CBS News poll finds Hillary Clinton leading Sen. Bernie Sanders by seven points in the Democratic presidential race nationally, 48% to 41%. Just a month ago, Clinton lead by 20 points.

A new IBD/TIPP poll finds Hillary Clinton’s support among Democrats nationally has taken a serious tumble, falling eight points to 43% while Bernie Sanders rose six points to 39%.

A new Quinnipiac poll in Iowa finds Sen. Bernie Sanders now leading Hillary Clinton, 49% to 44%.

A new Public Policy Polling survey finds Clinton now leads Sanders [in Iowa] by just six points, 46% to 40%. Clinton held an 18-point lead last month

Graph: HRC’s lead in Iowa polls [Click]

A new Monmouth University poll in New Hampshire shows Bernie Sanders has opened up a 14 point lead over Hillary Clinton, 53% to 39%.

It sure does look like Bernie has gotten inside HRC’s OODA loop. [Click] Only a couple of days ago people were saying that if HRC ’s fallback position in Nevada should fail to hold Bernie, her fallback line in the SEC primary states would be Bernie's Waterloo. And now Bernie is on a campaign swing through there, focusing on historically Black universities and colleges.

Why America Is Moving Left [Click] Well, maybe so; but it has been such a very long dry spell that one hardly dares to hope. The author makes some very good points.

    1. Bernie doesn't really need South Carolina. If we wins Iowa and New Hampshire and does well in Nevada, then it clearly goes to Super Tuesday and maybe beyond. Illinois, anyone?

    2. I see the Illinois primary is on March 15th, so you might have something to say about it. California's primary isn't until June 7th, so is (in a normal year!) pretty much an afterthought. If the race isn't settled by June 6th, it will be a very surprisingly interesting year... Hey, why not?
