  2. Quickly changing weather this morning--thin clouds, then heavier clouds, then mostly blue sky, then windy, cold, heavy clouds, then rain. We even had a bit of hail this evening. Not a satisfactory day for gardening. Changed the kitchen sink faucets--of course it took me five times as long as someone who knows what s/he is doing. I had to be a contortionist to boot, but we got the job done. Bringing in the Christmas tree was rescheduled for tomorrow morning. (I leave for a court case in another county about 11 AM, and in all likelihood will be back at a reasonable time.) Maybe in the evening we will deliver presents to some friends. The rest of the week is supposed to be sunny.

  3. That's quite the day of weather, Alan!

We had a temperature inversion, in which the clouds hang below the mountaintops because it's warmer on the mountain than in the valley.

Burlington has had just .2" of snow so far this season. That is 11.7" below average and 29.4" below where we were this time last year…!

    Have fun decorating and delivering!

    1. I will grant that our "cold" isn't up to Vermont's standard...but our weather doesn't normally change so quickly.

Did you notice on the previous thread that I inked up my father's fountain pen, and it works fine?
