Farewell, October: It's Jack's Day!

I hope you get some pretty great treats Saturday night
because the evening ends with an unnatural trick:

  1. Huzza for Howard!

Our kitty does seem to be improving; but giving her the special food with a syringe is definitely a three person (two humans, one feline) job. This weekend she will get the full treatment.

    1. Been there, Alan. It's not easy, but definitely worthwhile. Sending good vibes to your kitty♥

  2. Howard's first in sun or moonshine. And in every season.

  3. Oh, no! I hate the time change!

Listener, I like "Shine on Harvest Moon" too. The October full moon is the hunter's moon, which seems appropriately spooky and ominous.

  4. I hate losing an hour's sleep in the spring. I love getting an extra hour's sleep in the fall, but would be happier if we didn't get jerked about at all.

And in the days when I had to get up, get showered, get breakfasted, and be at work by 9 a.m., I hated to get up in the dark and didn't enjoy having it light until almost bedtime. Nighttime activities should be done at night! (Doesn't matter so much now that I can set my own hours regardless of what the clock says.)

  5. Today I am dressed as the Crazy-Cat Lady. I have on black cat's ears and am wearing black pants, black turtleneck, a white lace blouse over that and a black sweater. I have on my silver and gold pearls necklace with a pendant wrapped around it and dangling down like a tag. I also have a tail, but haven't needed it yet. The ears are enough that the kitties are staring at me with great curiosity. :-D

    1. Spinnaker to Mizzen: It smells like our purr-son, but how come she has ears like ours?

Mizzen to Spinnaker: Who knows. Purr-sons are very sturrange. *yawn*
