  2. listener--I think I have decided that the Platinum Preppy 02 and 03, each with a converter and filled with Noodler's Black Eel ink will do nicely for my everyday at-work writing; the choice depends upon the paper. Noodler's inks are readily available at stationers and online. Here is a list:

    Also, here is an
inexpensive sampler of quick-drying fountain pen inks. [Click]

Which of the inks are waterproof they don't say, but one can find out online.
Oh--here's a sampler of waterproof blacks. [Click] I see it is easy to search for inks with different characteristics (e.g. color, waterproof) at Goulet Pen.

Jetpens.com has competitive pricing if you can order enough to get free shipping.

  3. Oh-- and the relative sources of HRC's and Bernie's funding, also the rate at which HRC is burning through her funding, was discussed at length in our local newspaper this morning. It was a McClatchy wire service story.

    1. I saw a discussion about campaign finance several days ago. (Was it on HuffPost?) This included a mention that Bernie had gotten the overwhelming majority of his funds from small donors while Hillary has gotten only 17% from that source. While Hillary is spending quite a bit of money for this early in the campaign, I believe she is still bringing in more than she is spending. No present concern about running out of money.

And the point was made that, while both Hillary and Bernie are bringing in far more money than any individual Republican candidate, the bloated Republican field as a whole has collected more than the Democratic total.

  4. I didn't see the Democratic debate, but this SNL skit IS cute, and Bernie is a good sport (as indeed he ought to be):

Hmmmm……I will have to see if HRC had a public reaction to the SNL skit…

    1. Prediction here was that it would hit an even 32 deg last night and night before, but didn't look like that quite happened.
