Nurses sure work hard!

  1. Will work hard for Dean!

And next week I will be working hard for Bernie! I got an email from a guy at Bernie HQ, which is at 110 Main Street Burlington, on the 4th floor. If I hadn't been sick this week, I could have gone in today to help with mailings and data entry. But next week works. I am looking forward to it!!

  2. It has been so dry that I turned on the sprinkler today, to water the garden along the fence (which is further than my hose easily reaches). The Chickadees chattered and screamed in utter delight (!!!) as they showered themselves, flying though the spray. Birds definitely express delight! I wished I'd turned it on sooner. :-)

    1. Here in the Pioneer Valley we've had fire warnings, it's been so dry and unseasonably warm. Our own grass is nice and green though.

  3. Here's a recipe from one of my Fun Trivia discussion board buddies. I can't wait to try it!

    NUTELLA MOUSSE/CHEESECAKE
    2 cups heavy whipping cream
    2 Tbsp. Splenda or sugar
    1 ½ c Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
    Shaved chocolate for garnish
    DIRECTIONS:
    1. Beat the cream cheese and the Nutella together until thoroughly blended
    2. Put the Splenda or sugar in the bowl with the whipping cream. Beat it stiffer than you would for a topping.
    3. Beat the Nutella/cream cheese mixture into the whipped cream until well blended- making sure you get to the bottom of the bowl to mix in all the white- Unless you love striped food.
    4. Spoon into bowls or a graham cracker crust.
    5. Shaved chocolate for garnish.
    Serves 6-8
This makes an excellent dessert for company. If you MUST reduce the calorie count you can use low calorie Cool Whip and Neufchatel cream cheese.
Refrigerate for a couple of hours to firm it up.

  4. As I may have mentioned, I'm rereading The Chronicles of Amber. Zelazney's style is a curious mix of the poetic and the prosaic and the stories are a bit weird, both of which I enjoy. They're also very much of their time and place, that is the 70s in the United States. I enjoy this too. Phil was quite taken with these books, especially the first five starring Corwin; so, that's bittersweet.

  5. Went to the dentist yesterday- all good! Breaking with tradition, I got a hot pink toothbrush. Usually get blue. Donno what possessed me. OTOH the occasional change is good.

    1. :-) I get a different color each time, so I don't grab the wrong one. :-)

My dentist day is Wednesday, but just to pick up a night guard. My annual cleaning is the following week.
