  2. We covered our blossoms last night and woke to find no evidence of frost at all, not even on the Lilacs which were too
    large to cover! :-)

    1. Lotsa work here too. We hauled 300+ bricks today (in our cars…load onto cart, load into car, drive home, unload into wheelbarrow, place on back porch. Repeat. We made two trips with two cars today, in addition to three previous trips (single car). My mighty Mini hauls 80 bricks easily! Got the lawn mowed, did some house chores.

The best part of the day, though, was that while driving home with the bricks, just as I was realizing it's Pentecost, a Great Blue Heron flew right over my car. Then, this evening, a wild Goose (Celtic symbol for the Holy Spirit) flew through our back yard honking! :-)

    2. Any day a blue heron flies overhead is a *good* day!

    3. Different kind of latsa work here. Grant application has to be finalized before I leave for Spokane on Wednesday (meeting of the volunteers who will be putting on the World Science Fiction Convention). Spent the entire day finding small ways to shorten it to meet the page limit. But also found an entire paragraph the researchers were supposed to provide simply wasn't there. Somehow three different people, over the course of weeks, had failed to notice that! Even though other paragraphs had implicitly referred to it.

So tomorrow we will have to add that in, then get really serious about finding things to take out -- not just compress -- to meet the length limits.
