Some Pig

  1. Neither rain nor snow nor dark of night keeps Howard from being first. And there was almost 6" of snow last night and today.

I threw some money Garcia's way. What decided me was reading about all the big-money donations Emanuel is getting. Need to level the playing field if nothing else.

Won't bother to vote in local elections this year. With no school-age kids I'm not really into the school board elections and none of the village council seats are contested.

    1. I'm surprised you aren't planning to vote, even for a small election. After all, candidates have to get enough votes to actually be elected.

    2. But one vote is enough if there is no opponent. And nothing stops the candidates themselves from casting that one vote. (Of course if they all vote for each other as well as themselves, that's 7 votes.)

  2. And so today I got a fundraising letter from Tammy Duckworth *for Senate*. And a fundraising email from Bill Foster that didn't say what office he was running for. If they're both running for Senate, I'm going to be conflicted in the primary.

  4. Small snow storm on the radar. Still no peepers, so it's not the last snow of the season.
