  1. My heavens! Is that a cake? That must be today's prize, surely.

  2. How is everyone tonight?
I'm tired after work, since I have a big ol' cold. Not sure if it's the cold VT*Grand had last weekend or the one Youngest had that ran to pneumonia. But I'm working on drowning it. ;-)

    1. I'm tired. Haven't been sleeping particularly well the last couple of nights, probably due to stress. Debating whether to push on to try to get this bit of work out of the way or to turn in early and finish it tomorrow. Felt a bit feverish earlier in the day but it's gone away now.

Hope your cold gets over soon, listener.

  3. Thanks, Bill.

If you felt a bit feverish, getting some rest may be the wisest option.
Take care and let us know how you fare.

  4. I guess what's fascinating me about this discovery is that evidently the medical profession, for some time, has known there is a gene for smoking and yet has encouraged the browbeating of smokers as weak willed dim-wits for that same amount of time. . . .

  5. Yes, I saw that and thought it was fascinating too. But how long it has been that the medicos have known it I don't know.

  6. Getting caught up with SO much stuff today; but saving some for the next three days. We had some rain--the first since December 8th. It wasn't enough to make a difference for the farmers, but it was enough to clear the air very nicely. They say 2013 was the driest year since California became a state (1850); January is usually the rainiest month.

I got the data I needed for an exhibit poster for court on Monday, and after running the numbers it is almost too good to believe. I think we can be pretty sure of getting a probationer out of prison who was falsely accused and sent back on the basis of incompetent "expert" testimony. I am preparing to feel very good about my work. And now to watch the 5th Harry Potter movie.

    TTFN
